Zoho updates Creator and adds an application marketplace

Zoho, the online business tools vendor updated one of its more popular applications, Zoho Creator this week. In addition, it announced that it created Zoho Marketplace. Creator enables companies to build connectors and applications for the Zoho Suite that might not come in the package out of the box. They can then make these applications available for other Zoho users in the Marketplace, a concept that sounds similar to Salesforce.com's AppExchange.

Having this ability is a real advantage for Zoho users because they can check the Marketplace for existing tools to solve issues specific to their organization, or they can build one if needed. This is huge because it takes the suite to another level, enabling companies to build the tools they need without necessarily waiting for Zoho to supply them.

Zoho is a complete set of business tools including a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation program, as well as CRM, Wiki, project management and much more.
