Yammer introduces micro-blogging behind the firewall

Last September we spotlighted Yammer when they began offering a hosted version of their micro-blogging software for the enterprise. This week Yammer announced it was offering a version that companies could install behind the firewall. This could be helpful for companies concerned about using hosted services for online communications. The service is reasonably priced at $12/user/year. Yammer Blog

Present.ly, a microblogging tool for the enterprise created by Intridea, Inc has been providing behind the firewall service for a long time now. Many companies use Present.ly and are very pleased with the integration.
