Socialtext releases free version for up to 50 people

At the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston, Socialtext announced that they were making a free version of their social software available for workgroups up to 50 people. The application is built on the Adobe Air platform, so it loads locally. The free package includes Twitter-style micro-blogging, social networking, personalized dashboards, weblog publishing and a wiki workspace. Keep in mind there is no support and it includes only a single blog and Wiki for the entire workgroup. But it should be appropriate for companies looking to experiment with Socialtext without making a financial commitment. Press release
