Last week, Salesforce.com bought the French enterprise repository connector company, Entropysoft. There were no details released about the price or timing of the sale or an official statement for that matter, although a Salesforce spokesperson did confirm that the sale had happened. The Entropysoft website indicates it is part of Salesforce, but the rest of the site has been taken offline and it links to the Salesforce.com website. A VentureBeat article suggests the deal appears to have closed earlier this month. Entropysoft has made deals with companies like Box, to connect Box to more traditional enterprise content management repositories behind the firewall. Apoorv Durga from Real Story Group thinks this could lead to more attempts by Salesforce to connect with internal enterprise applications, and not just content management systems.
