Lucid Imagination scores In-Q-Tel Funding

Lucid Imagination, a company that has built a commercial business on top of the open source search tool, Apache Lucene announced this week that it has secured funding from In-Q-Tel. In-Q-Tel is the independent funding organization that identifies technology that could be useful to the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies. In-Q-Tel doesn't select just anyone; the company must pass a rigorous three-pronged evaluation that includes the strength of the technology, the financial soundness of the firm and how well a piece of technology matches up with intelligence community requirements.
