New Facebook messaging platform includes MS Office integration
Lost in the hubbub of Monday's Facebook messaging platform announcement, was news of some integration with Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Office documents. When you send a Microsoft Office document through the Facebook messaging system, it recognizes it as an Office document, and you get the option of viewing the document on Office.com or downloading it to your computer and opening it with your office application. This may not seem like a huge deal, but it does continue slow progression by Facebook to make the social network more attractive to business users.
