Latest SpringCM release tries to streamline case management
SpringCM recently announced their June update to their cloud-based content management system. Most of the update involved streamlining the case management activities in the system.
One of the highlights is so-called Smart Rules, which attempts to ascertain best practices and corporate policies and create new tasks based on this information. How well this works of course, depends on the quality of the algorithm, but it could simplify processes through automation if it works as planned.
The new release also includes a My Tasks widget, which provides a quick way for users to see a list of tasks they are responsible for. And if any workers or teams have more than they can handle, new reporting features should give management better information on how to allocate tasks and projects based on current work loads.
Another key feature in this release is the ability to work offline and sync when you have an Internet connection again. Being able to take work and access it even when you are not online is critical for many knowledge workers.
As SpringCM sees it, this gives companies the ability to manage case content without getting help from IT or consultants to do it.
