KnowledgeTree HTML5 tool works across platforms
This week KnowledgeTree introduced a new cross-platform desktop tool built using HTML5, enabling users to work across platforms on OSX, Windows or Linux.
The announcement comes on the heels of Android and iOS apps earlier this year, giving KnoweldgeTree a comprehensive desktop and mobile strategy. The beauty of the HTML5 version is that it is platform-independent and doesn't require a specific operating system.
The HTML5 version has an impressive set of functionality including the ability to add or edit metadata, manage workflows, deal with multiple documents simultaneously, and preview and open documents from within the KnowledgeTree HTML5 desktop interface, giving KnowledgeTree cloud and mobile users the same access to document management tools on the desktop.
KnowledgeTree CEO Daniel Chalef sees it as way for customers to choose the way they want to work and could be especially useful for certain working professionals who want to access their information on the desktop. "Now CFOs, legal counsels, attorneys, accountants, and other business professionals have access to a familiar, intuitive, desktop tool that allows them to immediately see value from their document management investment," Chalef said.
The new HTML desktop tool is available immediately.
