IBM launches new e-Discovery tool
With all that's happening in the financial markets recently, chances are there is going to be some substantial legal fallout. That means having e-Discovery tools at your disposal could be more important than ever. Perhaps that's why it's not surprising that IBM launched a new e-Discovery Analyzer tool this week, and also recently released another tool called e-Discovery Manager. IBM sees these two tools as the basis for an e-Discovery platform.
The company describes their e-Discovery Analyzer as a "new conceptual search and content analysis software to help legal professionals accelerate e-Discovery as they collect and assess evidence, agree upon search terms, and cull information for use in legal cases." The idea is to reduce the volume of content to get to the items you absolutely need. If you don't think this important, consider the recent case where a judge ruled that Oracle failed to produce crucial emails.
See the IBM press release for additional details.
