Generis releases iGoogle CMIS gadget

In what is probably going to be the first of many CMIS applications using common tools, Generis has announced a new Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Gadget that can search across repositories from within iGoogle to find documents wherever they may live. The gadget takes advantage of the new CMIS standard to access document repositories from a variety of major vendors. You can even edit and open the document without explicitly opening the underlying tool. Generis is offering a free version for a single repository or a premium version for multiple repositories. For more information, see the Generis blog post announcing the tool.
