Fuze Meeting brings live meetings to iPad
The ongoing debate with the iPad goes something like this: It's a great toy for consumers, but it's not really practical for business. Fuze Meeting is trying to change that perception with a new iPad App that lets you set up live meetings from an iPad, then connect with other devices including iPhones, BlackBerry and Android phones.
You can set up an account on the fly on your iPad or desktop computer, and invite people to join. Once you have an account, you can set up a meeting on your iPad, then invite others to join in a WebEx-style meeting. From there, you can share files, give control to another presenter, communicate with participants using a headset (or a Push-to-Talk button in the app).
The software cleverly takes advantage of the iPad's touch interface letting you display photos, for instance, which you can then pinch to zoom and use an electronic pointer to point out important aspects.
See the video below for more details about how Fuze Meeting works:
The app is free and available immediately in the Apple iPad App Store.
