FCM coverage at AIIM/info360 2011
As we attend sessions and stroll the expo hall at AIIM/info360 2011, we want you to be part of the action--even if you're not in Washington, D.C. with us. Ron Miller and I will be attending the conference and filing reports live whenever possible.
Ron and I will be tweeting regularly from AIIM as time allows. During our two days there we will be covering as much ground as possible. We will fill you in throughout each day with our impressions, who we are interviewing and what we're learning. Please engage us as we're on the move by introducing yourself between sessions or tweeting us a possible question for an interviewee or panelist.
We will also be taking pictures and broadcasting those on Twitter. Later we will compile the sights of AIIM/info360 2011 into a slideshow on FierceContentManagement.
You can keep up with my conference takeaways by following @FierceCM on Twitter. You can also follow FCM Editor @Ron_Miller on Twitter.
If you are tweeting from AIIM/info360, please use the hashtag #info360. The official conference handle is @info360.
Interview and session plans
Ron and I are still nailing down interview times with several companies, and hope to stop into some booths for impromptu chats with vendors. Ron will be recording video from his interviews again this year and posting his footage following the conference.
Most of my coverage, however, will be from conference sessions, keynotes and workshops. My primary interest will be those industry analysts and practitioners in the government space. As the conference is in Washington this year, there are many speakers eager to address the unique challenges and strategies for content management in government.
Four sessions stand out in this area which I will be sure to catch:
- Managing the Tidal Wave of Data with Jill Singer, CIO of the National Reconnaissance Office;
- Accessing and Preserving Information in Cyberspace with Kenneth Thibodeau of the National Archives and Records Administration;
- A Clearer Perspective on Transparency in the Cloud with Michael Bowen, IT director for Brevard County Government (Florida); and
- The Social Enterprise: Combining People, Processes and Content with Robin Crisp a program manager with the Food and Drug Administration.
Post-show issue
We will be publishing most of our content from AIIM/info360 in the Wednesday, March 30 issue of FierceContentManagement, but don't be surprised if some preliminary reports from the conference floor sneak into the Wednesday, March 23 issue, as well. The wrap-up issue will include lots of big news from the show, so expect to see stories posted online following the conference and full coverage to arrive in your inbox March 30.
