Two new translation software announcements are aimed squarely at the content management market, indicating the challenges enterprises face as they create and update multi-lingual content.

Globalization Partners International, a document translation service, released July 12 a plug in for the WordPress content management system it hopes will allow WordPress developers to quickly import and export content for "single-click" translation.

The plug-in ensures "easy translation services integration, a simplified export/import process and content exported as industry standard XLIFF all seamlessly from within WordPress," explained Martin Spethman, managing partner at GPI, in a statement.

Without the plug-in, translation on WordPress requires manually cutting and pasting and export to a translator, said a press release from the company.

In late June, translation, development and testing solutions provider Lionbridge announced that its GeoFluent Chat 2.0 product now allows API integration with existing online chat applications.

The API provides dedicated, secure, seamless bi-lingual communication between, said a press release from Lionbridge.

"By allowing one agent to engage users in multiple languages in real time from one location, contact centers are able to optimize their lower cost operations, remove language barriers and effectively connect with customers," said Rory Cowan, Lionbridge chief executive in a statement.
