DotNetNuke introduces new Enterprise version

DotNetNuke, the open source web content management solution built on Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) .NET platform, introduced a new enterprise version this week. The biggest edition to the Enterprise version, which joins the Professional and Community editions, is a new content staging server, which provides a place to edit and approve content before publishing it to your website. This could be especially important for companies who have to watch for sensitive material or that simply want to ensure that the company is delivering a consistent message across its web properties.

Navin Nagiah, CEO of DotNetNuke Corp. says the content staging feature is an important addition for larger enterprise users. "Content Staging meets the requirements of our mid-sized and large customers who have formalized rules, guidelines and policies around publishing content," Nagiah said.

Another important new feature is the localization tool, available across all three versions of the product. It provides a way to manage localization across multiple websites. Nagiah says they are particularly proud to be offering the localization tool in all editions. "The availability of Content Localization in our Community Edition demonstrates our continued commitment to the open core model and to the community at large. Content Localization will benefit our users who build, deploy and maintain multi-language websites," he said.

The new Enterprise Edition actually replaces the former Elite Edition and incorporates Elite Support, which includes extended support hours, faster guaranteed support, priority management of support tickets, installation upgrade assistance and source code access to the proprietary Professional or Enterprise Edition modules.
