Coveo 6.5 concentrates on personalized business analytics
Coveo released a new version of its enterprise search platform this week with a focus on generating personalized content viewable in dashboards. The idea is to give you a dashboard view of the content you care about most.
The highlight of the upgrade is configurable dashboards and widgets, which can be personalized for each user based on their role and the information they need to see. For instance, C-level executives can see all of the content across a variety of systems on a company's best customers or the most frequent customer service complaints (or just about anything that's important to them and accessible by the Coveo APIs).
Coveo CEO Laurent Simoneau says this ability to see across your content store is extremely valuable for organizations. "Data on its own has limited value, but when data is pulled from disparate systems, correlated, and presented in a unified view, it's very powerful."
Among the other features in this release are "smart facets," which "dynamically compute sums, averages, minimum and maximum values, as well as numerical ranges, for facet values." In addition, you can take this data and display it in a graphical view.
