Army CIO puts knowledge management on the front lines

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Sorenson, CIO of the Army, is placing renewed emphasis on building the Army's enterprise-wide information technology capabilities as quickly as possible. Speaking at the LandWarNet conference this past week, Sorenson described how he is channeling energy and resources into four areas, one of which is enhancing knowledge management under the direction of a new data chief. The office has released a set of twelve principles to guide it's KM efforts, and named Robert Kazimer as its director of the Governance, Acquisition, and Chief Knowledge Office. Article
