Look for reports from FCM at AIIM 2009

We know it's not possible for everyone to attend the conference in person, so we hope to try a number of things at AIIM 2009 to give you some feel of what it's like at the conference.

Twitter

We have set up a Twitter account for FierceContentManagement and I will be tweeting regularly from AIIM as time allows. I'll be spending my day and a half there running around doing interviews, getting a feel for the conference, attending workshops and covering as much ground as I can. As I do this, I will send messages with my impressions, who I'm interviewing, what I'm learning and what's happening throughout the day.

I will also take some pictures and broadcast those on Twitter and we have plans to create a post-show slide show of the pictures.

Interview Plans

So far I have plans to interview Microsoft, SpringCM, Open Text, Alfresco and EMC. I still hope to set up several other interviews as well, before next week. Aside from that, I will try to attend several of the workshops to get some insight from industry analysts in addition to the vendors I talk to.

Podcast

I'll be interviewing people with my digital recorder and as part of each interview I plan to ask one question (to be determined) of each person. We hope to splice these responses into a podcast that we will post on the FierceContentManagement site for you to listen to. I will also try to have a video camera available so that I can shoot some video of the Expo and perhaps try my hand at a live interview. Not positive we will be able to do this, but we will try.

Post Show Issue

We will be publishing an AIIM wrap-up issue next Friday, April 3rd. Note that this is a departure from our usual Wednesday date because I'll be at the conference Tuesday and Wednesday making it impossible for me to produce the newsletter on our regular schedule. This issue should include lots of big news from the show, so watch out for it next Friday.
