If you prefer to let someone else do all of the work installing, configuring, updating and maintaining your more complex systems, then you may be a fan of cloud-based software as a service offerings.
One enterprise content management vendor offering CMS as SaaS is SpringCM [1], and this week the company's platform got an update of its own. The 36 new features and enhancements include custom dashboards, enhanced document rules and solution packaging that allows customers to create feature packages that can be imported to other SpringCM applications.
You'll also find improvements around compliance, workflow, PDF handling and viewing, user creation, page preview, user interface, and performance.
Guru Amrit, CEO of Herndon, Va.-based Nationwide Processing says he thinks the new dashboard will provide the speed and accuracy his company needs to conduct business day-to-day. "Document management and workflow are crucial components of our ability to deliver services, but it is also extremely important that we have a full and timely view of the benefits we provide to our customers," he said.
