Intel Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 25, 2014, Intel Corporation (Intel) announced that it has started a joint research project with Ford to improve the in-vehicle experience for both passengers and drivers by exploring new applications for interior cameras, using data from existing vehicle sensors. The research project, called Mobile Interior Imaging, or Project Mobii, uses facial recognition software for enhanced privacy controls that leads to a potentially more secure and personalized in-vehicle experience. In addition, a mobile phone app can be used by drivers to remotely access the vehicle allowing for a quick check of belongings left inside, and authorize other drivers to operate the vehicle. Intel Internet of Things Group Vice President Doug Davis commented, "As a trusted technology leader and innovator, Intel understands the challenges automakers are facing and is a committed partner in this unprecedented opportunity. Microsoft Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 24, 2014, Microsoft Corporation's (Microsoft) Devices Group announced the launch of Nokia X2, a new addition to the Nokia X series of affordable smartphones, which delivers an enhanced experience across apps, hardware, and user interface. The Nokia X2, which is powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 200 processor featuring a dual core 1.2Ghz CPU will provide access to Android apps and a wide array of popular Microsoft services, and enable users to switch between apps through its Fastlane feature. SolarCity Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 25, 2014, SolarCity Corporation (SolarCity) announced that it has formed a partnership with Woodside Homes to provide solar power for all new Woodside Homes communities in Nevada. The partnership enables homebuyers to pay less for solar power than they pay for utility bills. Under the arrangement, Woodside Homes will provide solar power in Nevada communities including new La Jolla at Tierra Santa community in North Las Vegas, which features more than 120 homes with solar standard as well as options for ENERGY STAR-certified appliances, tank-less water heaters, Low-E windows, and a variety of additional energy efficient amenities. ChannelAdvisor Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 24, 2014, ChannelAdvisor Corporation (ChannelAdvisor) announced that it has been named the 2014 SuiteCloud Developer Network New Partner of the Year by NetSuite Inc. (NetSuite).
