Symantec certainly isn't new to the IT security game. In fact, David Dzienciol, the enterprise sales and partners senior director of Symantec in the Pacific region told ITWire that its security solutions "protect approximately half of the world's information--including an estimated one-third of the world's email."
A recent study by analyst firm IDC confirmed Symantec's dominance in the Australian and New Zealand "secure content management market." The group said Symantec's market share was 41.4 percent in 2007. ITWire reports that the market in that region, often referred to as ANZ, is predicted to grow to $488.3 million by 2012.
The popularity of content management solutions provided by Symantec is largely attributable to the variety of products offered by the company. The constant flow of improved developments--such as "Symantec Endpoint Management Suite," which advanced integration and endpoint security--is also a positive, says ITWire.
